Reigning Sabalenka Claims Back-to-Back WTA Top Player Awards.

The tennis star in action
Aryna Sabalenka concluded the year with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The twenty-seven-year-old captured four titles – the most on tour – which included successfully defending the US Open in September against Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Consistency

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also triumphed at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Sabalenka finished the season with a 63-12 win-loss record, and picked up a record eleven million pounds in prize money.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "help bring women's tennis to a higher level".
