Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A plane transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative stated in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This event is not the first time that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to return to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
